About Dr. Amin

Dr. Ramsey Amin has over 25 years experience in surgical and restorative implant dentistry. As one of only less than 610 Diplomates of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID), he is considered an expert, and board-certified specialist in dental implants. Dr. Amin is a contributing author in two dental implant textbooks on special implants such as the zygomatic and pterygoid implant. He is also a past clinical instructor at UCLA and Western University School of Dentistry, teaching sedation and surgery.

As a state examiner for the California State Board, Dr. Amin is also extremely qualified and dedicated to the field of IV sedation. Having placed over 18,000 implants to date, people travel from around the world to receive the highest level of care and expertise provided by Dr. Amin.

Dr. Amin is a dental implant specialist heavily involved in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). He is the district Past President of the Academy representing the Western United States. He has also served on the AAID education committee. He was selected as an “Honored” Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and his peers.

On a national level, Dr. Ramsey Amin teaches lecture and hands-on implant and observation courses in our Burbank office, which other periodontists, oral surgeons, doctors and staff are invited to attend throughout the year. He even teaches a yearly cadaver surgery course to other dentists!

He is a native of Burbank, CA and graduated second in his class from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry with the highest honors (OKU). He then completed a two-year residency rotation exclusively in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Amin also is the founder the online educational group “The Dental Implant Exchange.” 7000 other USA dentists rely on his leadership and collaborative efforts to elevate the specialty.

It is this advanced university training that allows him to perform dental implantology, bone grafting, complex surgery, digital prosthetic smile reconstruction, and IV sedation. He is also trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), the highest level of CPR.

In his free time, Dr. Amin enjoys fitness, skiing, and family time with his wife and four kids. He lives in the area so you may see him running his German Shepherd, “Lincoln.”
